Rodriguez Jr., born Olivier Mateu, is an award-winning French music producer and live performer who has spent over 25 years in the electronic music industry. Originally from Montpellier in the south of France and now based in Miami, his career began under the mentorship of Laurent Garnier, releasing music on the legendary F-Communications label as one half of the French electro duo The Youngsters. Now widely regarded as a visionary of melodic house and techno, his solo work has been released on Mobilee, Anjunadeep, Systematic, and Armada. His albums include Baobab (2017), BLISSS (2019), and Feathers & Bones (2023). Renowned for his live performances, Rodriguez Jr. tours with a hardware setup built around vintage analog synthesizers including the Elka Synthex, Roland SH-101, Roland Jupiter 6, and Moog Voyager.
