XINOBI brings a uniquely cross-genre perspective to his mentorship, drawing from his background in punk and hardcore, his transition into electronic music production, and his role as co-founder of Discotexas, one of Portugal's most influential independent labels. His 1:1 mentorship is well suited to producers exploring melodic house, organic electronica, indie dance, or any artist looking to build a sound that integrates personal identity and cultural roots into electronic music. Know your new mentor
XINOBI is the moniker of Bruno Cardoso, a Portuguese musician, producer, DJ, and remixer based in Lisbon. Born in 1978, he co-founded the influential label and collective Discotexas (DTX) with his friend Moullinex in the mid 2000s, and more recently launched his own imprint On The Quiet Records. He has released three albums (1975, On The Quiet, Balsame) plus numerous EPs, singles, and remixes on labels including Discotexas, Anjunadeep, Cercle, MoBlack, Deutsche Grammophon, TAU, Armada, and Watergate. Rooted in punk and hardcore ethics, XINOBI's sound weaves deep house, organic electronica, indie dance, drum and bass, and post rock into culturally enlightening compositions, often integrating Portuguese musical influences and Fado traditions.
